I am always inspired, and incredibly impressed, when I read articles from permaculture and food forest folks about the huge numbers of food they are growing, often with little effort once established. Given I am only on year two in this property, I am a far cry from where most of those folks are, but I thought it would be interesting to keep a running list of what is growing on our property anyway. The list may be a bit small today, but seeing it grow year after year is a great reminder that growth happens in incremental steps. It is a journey, not a destination.
I am creating a numbered list entirely so I can see the number going steadily up year after year. I also focused on perennials or annuals that readily reseed themselves. The goal here is, after all, minimal labor input by allowing nature to work Her magic.
